Player Modes

Videoselz supports two player modes depending on where the video is displayed.

Inline Player

The inline player renders directly in the page. It is used inside carousels and grid layouts. The video plays within its card without expanding.

Fullscreen Player

When a user taps a video card, the fullscreen player opens as an overlay. This provides an immersive viewing experience with product tags overlaid on the video.

Player Controls

The following controls are available in the fullscreen player:

• Play / Pause: Tap the video or the play button.
• Mute / Unmute: Toggle audio with the speaker icon.
• Progress bar: Scrub through the video timeline.
• Product cards: Tappable product overlays that appear during playback.
• Close: Exit fullscreen mode with the X button or by swiping down.

Videoselz accepts MP4 and MOV (H.264 or H.265). For best compatibility, use H.264 encoding. Videoselz automatically generates optimized variants for different screen sizes and connection speeds.

Playback Performance

Videoselz uses adaptive bitrate streaming to serve the appropriate video quality. On slow connections, a lower-resolution variant is delivered to prevent buffering.
